New Real Madrid signing Dean Huijsen has spoken about meeting with Madrid star Kylian Mbappe.

Huijsen played a key role as Spain beat France 5-4 in Stuttgart to reach the UEFA Nations League final against Portugal.

Huijsen, 20, started at central defence and played the entire the game for Spain.

Huijsen who’s yet to play for Real Madrid, spoke about meeting his Real Madrid teammate Kylian Mbappe during the game. “We spoke a little bit and he welcomed me and told me that we will see each other soon. A nice guy,” Huijsen told Mundo Deportivo.

Looking ahead to the final, Huijsen commented on facing Cristiano Ronaldo, who scored the winner for Portugal. “For me he is one of the best in history, for every kid, for every youngster who plays against Cristiano Ronaldo it’s like a dream to play against him. Let’s see if I can stop him,” he said to COPE.

On the goal that was disallowed for offside, Huijsen joked, “At half-time I joked with the referee and told him… ‘Damn, you can’t disallow a goal like that!’ He told me it was offside by a whisker. It’s a shame.”
