Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Torres was named Man of the Match in the Club World Cup clash against Al Hilal.

The 21-year-old scored the only goal of the game for Madrid in the 34th minute, as the Los Blancos could only secure a draw. His performance stood out in a tightly contested match, earning him praise from many.

The youngster has revealed what Xabi Alonso told him during the game: “He just told me to stay up in the back line, pinning down the centre backs, and to take advantage of any ball or mistake by the centre backs to score a goal.”

Garcia claims that players from La Fabrica are ready to shine in the first team.

“Asencio is a great teammate. He’s also shown that, like the rest of us who have debuted this season, we’re ready,” Garcia said.

“All the players from the youth academy, from Castilla, Real Madrid C, and the U19 A, have been able to contribute. I’m quite happy for myself, for Asencio, and for the rest of my teammates who have also been getting minutes.”
