Real Madrid are not only chasing glory at the FIFA Club World Cup but also racking up significant financial rewards along the way.
The Spanish giants have already pocketed a staggering €50.5 million from the tournament – and that figure could climb even higher.
Los Blancos earned an initial €38 million simply for participating in the expanded Club World Cup. Their impressive group stage showing, which included two wins and a draw, brought in an additional €5 million.
After qualifying for the first knockout stage, Real Madrid secured a further €7.5 million, bringing their current total to €50.5 million.
The financial incentives only get more lucrative from here. As the Los Blancos prepare for a crucial Round of 16 clash against Juventus, a victory would not only secure a place in the quarter-finals but also unlock a payment of €13.1 million.
Progressing to the semi-finals would boost their prize pot to €21 million, while reaching the final would elevate their total earnings to around €30 million.
Should Xabi Alonso’s former side go all the way and lift the trophy, Real Madrid would earn a staggering €40 million from the knockout rounds alone – making the tournament a potential goldmine for the Spanish champions.
With glory and cash on the line, Madrid’s Club World Cup campaign is proving to be as profitable as it is prestigious.
