Real Madrid goalkeeper Andriy Lunin shared his thoughts on Los Blancos’ hard-fought 2-1 victory over Rayo Vallecano in La Liga.

The Ukrainian shot-stopper acknowledged Real Madrid’s strong first-half performance but expressed disappointment over conceding right before the break.

“We controlled the game more in the first half. It’s a shame that we conceded in the last minute of the first half. They were lucky,” Lunin admitted.

Despite Madrid’s dominance early on, the second half proved to be a much tougher battle as Rayo Vallecano increased their intensity.

“In the second half, the game became more difficult because Rayo started playing with much more intensity,” he added.

Ultimately, Real Madrid held on to secure all three points, continuing their push at the top of the La Liga table.
