Carlo Ancelotti was pleased to see his side secure all three points against Real Sociedad.

The Los Blancos went into half-time a goal down, but two second-half goals from Federico Valverde and Joselu, helped seal the three points for Real Madrid, who climbed back to the top of the La Liga table.

Speaking after the game, Ancelotti picked out Joselu and Fran Garcia for praise.

Fran Garcia had a difficult game in defence, but was named as the Man of the Match for his two assists which aided the win, while Joselu scored the winning goal for Madrid.

Ancelotti said: “Fran García wasn’t good? The truth is he suffered a bit because Kubo was dangerous but Fran gave 2 assists and we won the game thanks to him.

“Joselu? I really like Joselu — as he’s a guarantee. He’s very important because he’s the only one with his qualities in attack.We missed someone like him the past seasons.”
